A Little Background

It all started in 2012 with a US Marine from Sioux City, IA, who was working to secure the US Embassy in Bamako, Mali, West Africa, during the Mali civil war. He discovered an orphanage, ASE-Mali – Association of Infant Safeguard, about ten minutes away from the Embassy.

 

Through his visits to volunteer with the children, we’ve come to know and love Bibi, the founder of the orphanage. Bibi is known as the "Mother Teresa of Mali" in her country and has received numerous awards for her work with the orphans, both in Mali and internationally.

 

Our personal relationship with Bibi led to the formation of "Bibi's Hope," an orphanage support program. Through multiple mission trips, we’ve come to know and love the children in the orphanage
